Improvements will affect designated portions of NE 18th Ave, Lincoln St, and Hyde St.

Project will:

Curb-Tight Sidewalk - a curb-tight sidewalk means that there will be no planter strip between the sidewalk and the curb. The sidewalk will be directly adjacent to the curb.

    The City of Hillsboro was awarded three Oregon Department of Transportation Safe Routes to School Construction Grants totaling $740,000. The grant focus for these projects is filling in small gaps in existing walk-routes to elementary schools in the City, particularly in areas where there are no sidewalks on either side of the street.


    Eastwood Elementary Area Improvements
    The City was awarded $412,000 for this project from ODOT. The City also received $104,000 from the Washington County Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program.

    The City was awarded $216,000 for this project from ODOT. The City also received $54,000 from the Washington County Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program.
