How do we choose which roads receive maintenance?

There are two sites located near Eastwood Elementary and two sites located near McKinney Elementary that will be receiving safety improvements. These sites were chosen as part the City’s Safe Routes to School Program(SRTS) grant application. More details on these locations are available on the project webpages.

    Will construction impact private property?

Work is planned to take place within Public right-of-way. Any privately owned landscaping, fencing, or retaining walls located within the right-of-way could be impacted by construction activities. The City will coordinate the relocation of these items by communicating closely with the property owners impacted.

Will neighbors be notified about any traffic impacts?

Yes. Neighbors will be notified about any project impacts. Notifications may come in the form of postcards, news releases, website updates and social media posts.

Additional communications will also be relayed to leadership at McKinney and Eastwood Elementaries throughout the project.  These communications will include periodic flyers to be sent home with students.
