Preferred Concepts Survey
The Project Team developed a preferred design concept for each of the three study area corridors—Oak Street, Baseline Street and 10th Avenue—and we’d like your feedback!
On these roadways, we’re required to provide facilities for each mode of traveler (people walking, biking, driving, and accessing transit). We’ve arranged different pieces of the roadway to better meet the needs of multimodal travelers.
To achieve our Corridor Vision and follow the project’s guiding principles, we’ve developed preferred concepts that accommodate the following elements, which the community also told us during our 2021 public outreach, they valued:
- Wider sidewalks
- Dedicated bike lanes
- Safer crossings for all modes of transportation: pedestrians/people using mobility devices, bikes, and vehicles
- New or improved landscaping
- Slower speeds
The preferred design concepts were chosen based on:
- Community feedback provided in spring 2023 on the design alternatives.
- How closely they align with the Corridor Vision.
- Input received through public engagement in fall 2021.
- Advice from the Planning Advisory Committee (PAC).
- Advice from the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
Please look at the preferred design concept for Oak Street, Baseline Street, and 10th Avenue and tell us how you think they fit the Corridor Vision for the area.
