Over the last 20 years, Hillsboro has prioritized Downtown's revitalization. The arts have been an integral part of the strategy to support a vibrant, connected, welcoming community and a thriving local economy.
The City of Hillsboro ("City") is soliciting interested persons or entities to submit an application for the sub-lease of the Plaza Terrace Building located at: 136 SE 3rd Avenue, Hillsboro, OR 97123 (the "Facility") owned by Zurbrugg/McKinney and leased by the City.
The facility provides a unique opportunity for an independent organization to sublease the space and contribute to the vitality and creativity of Hillsboro’s Downtown, Cultural Arts District, and community at large.
The City’s initial investment in the renovation of this privately owned property was guided by the Hillsboro Downtown Renaissance Plan’s objectives to:
Create space and opportunities for artists and makers to practice their craft in Hillsboro.
Benefit the cultural and economic landscape and vibrancy of Downtown.
Contribute to the revitalization of Downtown through the strengths of arts and culture.
Related goal:
Activate the storefront space six days a week during daytime hours.
The City of Hillsboro is soliciting applications to sublease this space to an arts organization that can become an active participant in the arts and small business community in Hillsboro.
Deadline for proposals is Monday, September 30 at 5:00 pm.
