The Hillsboro 2035 Community Plan is our shared vision and action plan for Hillsboro's future. The actions in the Plan are based on input from thousands of community members (just like you!) and become real projects supported by dozens of local organizations who help move them forward.
The Plan is updated every five years to keep it relevant and current to our growing and changing community.

After an extensive public engagement effort, an updated Hillsboro 2035 Community Plan was adopted by City Council in October 2025.
To complete the five-year update, the City worked with a vision consultant and an all-volunteer Community Engagement Committee to gather ideas and prioritize action items, identify lead community partners, and create the updated Plan document.
Then, we turned those dreams into proposed action items for the Plan and invited you to vote for your favorites. 1,857 people weighed in to prioritize the ideas.Review the full survey report to see all the proposed actions sorted by focus area, popularity, and priority tier.
