This survey is in pursuit of local government ‘innovative development code amendments’.

This term refers to code amendments which may:

1. Go beyond State statutory minimum requirements related to housing production.

2. Conceptually explore areas of their development code unaddressed by State statutes related to housing production (ex. HB 2001) but which target housing production, location, diversity, etc.

3. Expand options related to density requirements and design standards without requiring Comprehensive Plan updates.

The City of Hillsboro hopes this survey will provide a resource for cities engaged in housing production work.

As a collaborative research project, the research findings from this survey will be shared with participants as a resource to inform Housing Production Strategy code implementation options and other future housing-related work.

We welcome participants to share this survey with colleagues, as well as the results of the survey.
